The Costa Coffee House in Wetherby is situated directly by the side of Wetherby Bus Station. It is a single floor building that offer’s comfortable seating, friendly atmosphere and courteous staff members. The coffee beans used are of very good quality (Italian Bean), with the combination of the steamed milk and coffee being done perfect* so as not to spoil the heated milk.

The general “Meet & Greet” of the staff members is very pleasant, regardless of the location, with courtesy to your time spent on the selections, whether this is of food or drink. At most times the counter has a long queue, nonetheless, the service that you receive is still as pleasant as the first time you use a Costa Coffee Shop (Leeds Costa Coffee Shop not included).
The premises offer around 40 seats, including comfy chairs, soft sofas and table matching soft cushioned chairs also. Above the seats are both extractor fans and air conditioning units that run almost silently, so the atmosphere is not spoilt with clinks, clanks and squeaks. The decor is modern, with large picture frames that show the process of the ground coffee beans, the establishment of the Coffee Shop chain and, of course, the products for which the clientele can buy.
Personal Choice.
For me, myself, I choose the Medio Latte (sometimes with a double shot of the onsite ground coffee), which I favour more because of quantity and that of the preparation in the final purchase. The preparation is done to a high “Trained” level of quality, with the combinations of “Glass”, “Milk”, “Coffee Beans”, to “Pouring”. The Medio Latte is served in a tall glass around a pretty cool saucer that appears lop sided. Each glass of coffee is served with a napkin and long, thin spoon so that the bottom of the cup can be accessed for stirring.
Personally, I would vote Costa Coffee House in Wetherby, Leeds, for the number one placement in “The Great Coffee Hunt” because I cannot find any fault with their Preparation or selection of Coffee Bean. As for the atmosphere of the building itself, it is truly like “Home from Home”. My continued visits will remain until such a time as the Coffee becomes different in a way that I refrain from visiting or because I out stay my welcome there by becoming a piece of the furniture. This seems, at the moment highly unlikely.
With many visits (Almost every morning through the week) the staff there have come accustom to my writing habits and, as a respectful finish to this review, I would like to share a little poem that I managed to knock together while drinking there during the Summer. Many thanks to Sam, Richard, Hariot and Richard for providing me with information for the completion of this review.
Costa Coffee (Video)
Costa Latte Ode 1
Smooth and creamy to taste
The Costa Latte goes down,
The rich clean blend it is
The cheapest in this town.
Delicious in its character
So infamous in its roots,
From Latte, Tea and Coffee
To flavoured Fruit Shoots.
My favourite, you’re best it is
Available across the land,
The variety becoming better
All drinks made by hand.
From North to South they be
Every Coffee Shop unique,
So if you’re in need of a Latte
Then it is Costa that you seek.
